Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner

A successful Family Nurse Practitioner must be passionate about healthcare and dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others. This role serves as a mission-driven catalyst to deliver high-quality care and excellent service to patients and their families.

The Family Nurse Practitioner is primarily responsible for providing medical services to patients and ensuring their overall well-being.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for at least 40 hours during a standard workweek and document clinical notes.
• Uphold and demonstrate the highest standards of medical ethics at all times.
• Participate in the development of clinical policies and procedures.
• Attend all staff and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings.
• Provide Saturday coverage as needed, at least once a month.
• Adhere to all organizational protocols and policies.
• Share on-call duties with other clinicians.
• Complete all EHR tasks, including medication refills, within 72 hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education

• Current valid license to practice medicine in California and DEA registration.
• Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Interest in working in a non-profit, community clinic setting.
