Under the guidance of the Regional Nurse Manager, the Nursing Clinical Care Lead (NCCL) oversees on-site clinical operations, providing direct nursing care, patient education, and administrative support, with the emphasis in providing high quality patient care. This role also includes supervising and training of clinical staff within scope, including but not limited to Medical Assistants (MAs).
This position will provide support for our Merced SHAW Clinic.

- Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.

- Coordinates duties with internal stakeholders.
- Educates patients regarding condition specific treatment plans and self-care as prescribed by the provider.
- Assigns tasks to MAs and support staff while clinically training, orienting, and supervising in collaboration with trainers to assess skill and competency.
- Ensures that MA’s follow an efficient patient flow and adheres to policies, procedures, and clinical workflows.
- Manages MA performance while empowering to foster an exceptional patient and staff experience.
- Oversees training on practice management, electronic health record systems, and company-established practices.
- Conducts skills assessments and provides feedback.
- Oversees pharmaceutical and vaccines inventory management and compliance.
- Assists with medical supply orders, including pharmaceutical and vaccines to maintain adequate inventory.
- Partners with site leadership to review and approve employee timesheets, time-off requests, and complete performance evaluations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Independently see patients on the team schedule according to established protocols or in collaboration with other clinicians
- Performs patient assessments within scope of practice and reports findings to the provider or RN.
- Participates in planning, implementing, and contributes to the evaluation of individualized patient care interventions in accordance with the care plan or treatment plan prepared by licensed providers and/or RNs.
- Maintains data to monitor site compliance with quality standards as required by The Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Maintains compliance with patient safety, infection control, quality assurance, mandated reporting, consent, confidentiality, and established policies and procedures.
- Works closely with site leadership to review financials and ensure operations stay within budget.
- Addresses and resolves patient complaints and grievances.
- Assists in the development and implementation of nursing and patient care services, policies and procedures.
- Proactively assumes responsibility for continuous improvement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring patients may involve lifting or pushing greater than 30 pounds, should be done with assistance as appropriate.
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry patients.
- Must be able to hear staff/clients on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff.
- Must have vision with or without lenses that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents.
- Must have high manual dexterity.
- Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouching, reaching, kneeling, twisting/turning, fingering and feeling.
