The School of Natural Sciences anticipates hiring Readers for Academic Year  for multiple subjects.

The Reader will be responsible for grading homework, quizzes and tests as needed. The Reader will work closely with the instructor and/or Teaching Assistants when grading. It is anticipated that readers will work up to a maximum of 18 hours per week.

Basic qualifications

The Reader must be an active UC Merced student in good standing and have successfully completed course or related course he/she is appointed to as a reader with at least a B Grade. Readers should have maintained at least a 3.0 grade-point average in their previous academic work.

• Authorization of Information Release - As a condition of employment, the finalist will be required to disclose if they are subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct, left a position during an investigation for alleged misconduct, or have filed an appeal with a previous employer.

  "Misconduct" means any violation of the policies or laws governing conduct at the applicant's previous place of employment, including, but not limited to, violations of policies or laws prohibiting sexual harassment, sexual assault, or other forms of harassment, discrimination, dishonesty, or unethical conduct, as defined by the employer.
