Utility Worker

Transdev in Merced, CA is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties and is dedicated to safety.

Position subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement. Pay: $17.94 - $22.70 per hour.

• Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles – interior and exterior
• Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
• Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
• Downloading drive cameras & probe fare boxes
• Perform maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Other duties/special projects as required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
