Job Overview

As an IT Integration Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing cloud‑first integration solutions that enable automation, AI‑driven insights, and intelligent data orchestration. You will work closely with enterprise architects, application developers, business teams, and vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and observable APIs and middleware services across multi‑cloud and on‑premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement robust cloud‑native integration solutions and APIs that align with enterprise standards and best practices for performance, security, and observability. Work with IT and Business partners to gather and document business requirements and translate them to design solutions.

  • Apply expertise in integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous/event‑driven) – leveraging technologies such as Apache Kafka to build scalable, cloud‑ready, and maintainable systems.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and manage incidents, upgrades, and support; coordinate and work with external vendors to ensure delivery, quality, compliance, and observability.
  • Execute digital modernization efforts, including API delivery, middleware migration to cloud platforms, and the integration of AI/ML capabilities for smarter, adaptive, and more automated workflows.
  • Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions (logs, metrics, tracing) to track integration performance and reliability across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with EA, application architects and product teams to ensure alignment between business requirements, AI‑enabled insights, technical design, and cloud platform capabilities.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies across APIs, messaging, Kafka, ESB, iPaaS, and cloud integration platforms to support modernization, automation, and innovation initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by documenting integration standards, reusable components, and AI‑ready best practices for security, governance, and quality.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud integration, generative AI, and intelligent automation, and apply innovative solutions to enhance integration efficiency and platform capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8+ years of hands‑on experience in API management, API design and implementation, enterprise systems integration using APIs, middleware development, with strong knowledge of microservices, SOA, event‑driven, and cloud architecture.
  • Hands‑on experience with integration platforms and tools such as IBM Integration Bus, Boomi, Mule Soft, Kong, Web Sphere MQ/ESB, Apache Kafka, AWS API Gateway, and Azure API Management.
  • Solid understanding of data formats (JSON, XML, CSV, YAML, EDI) and databases (DB2, Oracle).
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud observability (logs, metrics, tracing), API governance, and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to work with multiple integration technologies and tools, rapidly learn and master the existing implementation, and actively contribute to system migration activities to achieve full productivity quickly.
  • Preferred:
Experience in Financial Services, cloud migration projects, and integration modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, process optimization, cost efficiency, and IT risk management principles.
Additional Information
  • Must be able to work flexible hours/schedule.
