Camp Activity Specialist – Stroum Jewish Community Center of Greater Seattle

Join us for an exciting summer as a Camp Activity Specialist at the Stroum Jewish Community Center of Greater Seattle. We’re looking for talented individuals who love inspiring kids through art, drama, dance, music, cooking, nature exploration, sports, challenge courses, or mystery STEAM.

• Assume responsibility for a group of campers under their care to ensure a positive and safe camp experience.
• Plan and lead age‑appropriate activities.
• Ensure camp spaces are thoroughly cleaned before leaving.
• Share activity plans and materials lists with supervisor by the agreed date.
• Store and use equipment properly and adequately.
• Assist with special event planning and implementation.
• Support the emotional and social wellbeing of the kids through positive behavior management, supportive interactions, and conflict resolution.
• Communicate regularly and appropriately with the rest of the J Camp staff team, both verbally and in writing.
• Ensure children get to where they need to go as directed by the J Camp leadership team, including playing an integral role during arrival and dismissal.
• Act as a positive ambassador of the SJCC both inside and outside of the SJCC.
• Follow all emergency procedures at the SJCC.
• Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines or scheduling needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience and/or training working with children preferred.
• Attendance at J Camp staff training required unless approved to train separately in writing by the Camp Director.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification for adults/infants/children, or willingness to get certified.
