Science Teacher

EMIT Learning is currently seeking a passionate and innovative Science Teacher to join our team. You will play a key role in helping learners understand scientific concepts and develop problem‑solving and analytical skills that prepare them for future academic success. • Plan, develop and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards and the school’s curriculum
• Design hands‑on experiments and activities that promote inquiry‑based learning and student engagement
• Encourage curiosity and critical thinking through exploration of life, earth, and physical sciences
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and varying ability levels
• Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative tools and provide constructive feedback
• Integrate technology, lab equipment and multimedia tools to enhance scientific understanding
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support interdisciplinary and project‑based learning initiatives
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory and classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff to promote academic success and growth

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field required
• Master’s degree in Education or Science preferred
• Valid California Teaching Credential in Science (Single Subject) or Multiple Subject with science focus required
• Previous experience teaching science at the elementary or middle school level preferred
• Strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to inspire students through creativity, enthusiasm and a hands‑on approach to learning
• Proficiency in integrating technology into classroom instruction
