Job Summary

Caregiver In-Home Care at With a Little Help, Inc — Mercer Island, WA. Variable Hour, Hourly, Non-exempt. Shift schedule: hourly short shifts, 1 pm–5 pm, Monday–Sunday. Base pay range: $20.80/hr – $22.00/hr (range provided by the employer; final pay based on skills and experience).

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to support a specific client on Mercer Island. The role involves transportation, companionship, personal care, light housekeeping, and supporting independence in the client’s home.

• Develop a professional, warm, and caring relationship with each client; follow individualized care plans.
• Provide companionship activities (outings, walks, drives, and engaging activities).
• Assist with personal care (toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Transport clients to varied settings and accompany to appointments; relay information as needed.
• Light chores (laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, linen changes).
• Support transfers and prescribed exercise routines; monitor and report changes in condition.
• Respect client and family beliefs, cultures, and confidentiality; communicate with family and office staff as arranged.
• Submit required paperwork (logs, expenses, assignments) on time.
• Attend mandatory orientation and trainings; follow company policies and procedures.

• Ability to work 1 pm–5 pm, Monday–Sunday on Mercer Island.
• Active CNA or HCA certification.
• Ability to provide 2–3 professional references.
• Smartphone to clock in/out, review calendars, and complete Care Notes.
• Driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance to drive clients in your vehicle.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the USA (I-9 verification).

• 3+ years of professional caregiving experience.
• Ability to obtain an additional state certification within 200 days of hire, with verified experience and references.
• Self-directed to meet state certification requirements; company does not provide lengthy required training or financial support for certification.

• Experience communicating with clients who have dementia or mental health challenges.
• Companionship; end-of-life care, hospice and palliative care, nurse delegated tasks (core and diabetes).

• Base pay: $20.80–$23/hour; short shift premiums apply (see below).
• Short shift premiums: 1–4 hour shifts add up to $2–$5/hour depending on length;
  Couples Care add $3/hour.
• Flexible schedules (variable-hour employment).
