Position OverviewFleet’s Supply Chain organization is seeking a Supply Chain Continuity expert that oversees the entire lifecycle of construction materials as well as coordination with our internal supply chain equipment team on owner furnished contractor installed equipment. This role is critical for maintaining the flow of materials necessary for Fleet’s large‑scale construction/build programs.
Job Responsibilities- Oversees the entire lifecycle of materials: including working with general contractors (“GCs”) on their material and service procurement schedules for critical steel and other construction materials needed.
- Oversee the following GC‑managed activities:
- On‑site logistics, equipment and materials
- Site Material management and delivery systems
- Tracking equipment and materials usage including entry to job site, unloading receipt, inventory, inspection, storage management, shortage, and damage reporting
- Management of on‑time deliveries to job site including inventory updates/delivery records
- Management of onsite storage facilities (and offsite facilities, as needed)
- Establishment of laydown areas, management of inventory supply and withdrawals
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies: balancing supply chain strategies across Fleet‑procured vs. G‑procured materials taking into consideration quality, cost, and supply chain continuity including:
- Working with Fleet equipment teams, TPMs, and schedulers as well as Fleet GC(s) to plan material and equipment deliveries
- Identifying gaps between Fleet‑procured and G‑procured materials
- Manage supplier relationships: establish and maintain relationships with key fleet construction partners, oversee existing G material scope/requirements to ensure materials are delivered on time and within specifications.
- Coordinate logistics activities: oversee the schedule and logistics of incoming and outgoing materials between Fleet‑procured and GC‑procured to align with production schedules efficiently.
- Ensure compliance: ensure all material management activities comply with industry standards and environmental laws and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Construction Management or Engineering/Architecture
- 5+ years of supply chain, logistics, and/or warehouse management experience
- 5 years’ relevant experience with complex construction programs
- 5-7 years of data center experience including management of GC engagements and OFCI management
- 5 years’ experience across logistics/material handling
- In-depth knowledge of procurement, logistics, warehousing laydown area, warehouse set‑up, and material control and management.
- Working appreciation of engineering standards.
- Knowledge, experience, and understanding of quality control requirements for material and equipment management.
