Hiring Qualifications- The ability to stand, sit, and type extensively.
- Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to assist in lifting patients over 50 pounds.
- Confidence around pets of all types.
- Adaptability to a moderately high noise environment.
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and solve complex problems.
- Ambulatory skills sufficient for hospital duties.
- Good hand‑eye coordination, arm‑hand‑finger dexterity, and visual acuity to operate equipment.
- Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, and occasional exposure to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medications.
- Minimum 1 year as licensed veterinary technician.
- Completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and appropriate registration status in the state of employment.
- High school diploma plus further education.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Previous back‑ or front‑office experience preferred.
