Island Cats Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for an outgoing, compassionate assistant with strong technical and client‑service skills who thrives on building meaningful connections with both cats and their people.

• Provide exceptional patient and client care while maintaining an efficient exam room flow
• Accurately document patient care and maintain detailed medical records
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients, answering questions with empathy and clarity
• Support the veterinarian and technicians during outpatient care and procedures to ensure the highest level of feline‑focused medicine

  Full‑time, 4‑10 schedule with availability needed Mon‑Fri;
  NO WEEKENDS
• Compensation
  : $19‑21 per hour*
• Bonus package
  : $500 based on 3+ years of current and consecutive experience

• 2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• A passion for feline medicine and exceptional client service
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Exam room assistance and client communication
  • Surgical set‑up and assisting
  • Venipuncture and sample collection
  • Radiology positioning and technique
  • Gentle feline restraint and the ability to understand and interpret feline body language
