Bookkeeper Position

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established engineering firm in Meriden, CT that is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a growing business. The Bookkeeper will work closely with leadership to ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process vendor invoices, customer payments, and expense reports
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries as needed
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare financial reports, account analyses, and cash flow summaries
• Track project-related expenses and support job costing activities
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll record maintenance
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Support audits and provide documentation as requested
