Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Status: Exempt

Summary

The Accounting/HR Manager oversees payroll and human resources operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable laws. Responsibilities include financial reporting, payroll processing, HR functions like recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and compliance, and providing support to leadership.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Essential Duties and Functions
  • Accounting and Finance: Manage bi-weekly payroll, payroll tax compliance, payroll records, data entry in ADP, journal entries, assist with audits, maintain asset and inventory records, monitor office supplies, support CFO and external auditors.
  • Human Resources: Manage recruitment, administer benefits and leave, ensure compliance with regulations, coordinate staff training, maintain confidentiality, support employee relations, and assist with policies and documentation.
  • Other Duties: Assist colleagues, perform additional tasks as needed, ensure safety, attend relevant seminars.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (considering significant experience in lieu).
  • Minimum 3 years in accounting/finance with HR and payroll experience; nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, payroll laws, HR compliance.
  • Proficiency in ADP, Quick Books, MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, team player.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance.
Physical Requirements
  • Operate office equipment, complete administrative and financial tasks.
