What You Will DoIn this role, you will help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax products using sound professional judgment and maintaining high quality and timeliness.
- Maintain sensitive customer and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and deliver the right answers to customers.
- Interact with customers via state‑of‑the‑art video communication software, documenting interactions to keep accurate records.
- Conduct professional interactions with customers and teammates while upholding Intuit’s operating values, including integrity without compromise.
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws, with 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season.
- Active, unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread over at least three days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Commitment to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours per week in 4‑hour shift increments.
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficiency with technology and solid computer operation skills.
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to interact confidently through video and audio tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Willingness or ability to obtain an internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria.
Compensation is geographically based and determined by factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Expected base pay ranges widely; successful candidates will also be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay equity is continuously monitored.
