Athletics is an integral part of Cole Valley’s vision of developing the whole person to impact the world for Jesus Christ. We believe that God uses athletics to teach us spiritual truths. There are many biblical lessons and discipleship opportunities available as we strive to reach out fullest potential athletically. We are looking for an Assistant Coach for our Middle School Boys Basketball program who has a heart for discipleship.
Job Responsibilities- Assists head coach in planning and running practices.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills: ball‑handling, shooting, passing, defense, and footwork.
- Build relationships and invest in the lives of the young people, helping them grow in their relationship with Christ as they see Christ living in you.
- Assist in organizing and leading all game day activities for the team.
- Assist Head Coach in establishing clear communication with parents and players alike on their roles within the program.
- Support game strategy planning with the head coach.
- A testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
- Faithfully serving in a local church
- Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord
- Be spiritually mature with demonstrated leadership experience
- Previous youth discipleship experience preferred
- Positive attitude to assist in building program
- Hours:
Approximately 10 hours per week during the season. - Salary: $750
- Start Date:
Season begins January 5, 2026 - End Date:
March 2, 2026
Monday & Tuesday: 2:25 pm – 4:00 pm
Wednesday: 1:45 pm – 3:15 pm
Thursday:
No Practice (typically a game day)
Friday: 2:25 pm – 3:15 pm
