We are currently seeking part-time tutors for a role teaching math and science to middle and high school students at our
Grade Power Learning Meridian-Boise center. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of math, science, study skills, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Tutors at Grade Power Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned and prepared. Applicants will be fully trained on our philosophy and methodology.

Position Requirements:

All Tutors at Grade Power Learning need to have flexibility to work during after-school and evening hours:
Monday-Friday (3:00pm - 8:00pm) at least 2 days a week. A commitment of a year is preferred. Continuing for longer is even beter! Your students will love working with you, so being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person
. You must be able to commute to this location; this is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Background check is mandatory.

We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:

Education
:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is ideal
• Second year or later university students with tutoring experience are encouraged to apply as well
• Teaching certification is an asset
• Good knowledge of the current 6th-12th grade curriculum

Experience
:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Middle or High School(or equivalent) level required
• Strong English writing, oral communication skills, and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities (Position Details):

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Teaching in-person
• Following the Grade Power Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Completing daily student communication updates to key staff
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Salary
: $20 - $23 / hour (based on prior experience and education)

Schedule:

• Evenings
• At least two days/week from Monday-Friday
