Job DescriptionWSP is currently initiating a search for a Electrical Project Engineer who may work from any office including Boise, Idaho;
Honolulu, HI; or Huntsville, AL. The role involves mission-critical infrastructure design for the Federal Services Division, including power delivery, power generation, distribution, backup power, UPS, system studies, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects.
The selected candidate may work remotely full‑time, with periodic travel to a POWER office. The impact will include leading design teams, mentoring, communicating with internal and external clients, and driving projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints.
Responsibilities- Strong team leadership, mentoring, excellent communication, presentation skills, motivation, positive attitude, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Lead design teams including sub‑consultants and work with federal clients on energy and infrastructure projects.
- Handle multiple large and small projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineering License, with ability to be licensed in multiple states.
- Seven (7) years of applicable experience leading technical design teams on federal government projects (e.g., NAVFAC or USACE).
- Demonstrated experience with design‑build (DB) and design‑bid‑build (DBB) interdisciplinary design projects for U.S. Government clients.
- Working knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS).
- Seven (7) years of experience in the design and specification of electrical power distribution systems or mechanical systems, and building design.
- Broad understanding of architectural and engineering system designs and multi‑discipline coordination.
- Ability to mentor design teams.
- Successfully manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ten (10) years of applicable experience leading technical design teams and in the design/specification of electrical power distribution systems or mechanical systems.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
- Experience with mission‑critical infrastructure projects.
- Solid foundation in implementing CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station.

CompensationExpected salary (all locations): $75,600 – $121,770. WSP reserves the right to pay more or less depending on circumstances not related to protected status.
