The Cardiac Sonographer will perform high-quality echo cardiographic exams, including transthoracic, stress, and contrast studies, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.
This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.
We are looking for someone who has excellent technical and computer skills, attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills. You must be willing to adapt to changes effectively, and respond to consistent variations in patient workloads. Must have a willingness to learn new technologies and protocols. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can work independently and within a small team while demonstrating exceptional patient care skills.
RoleAnd Responsibilities
- Perform and analyze echocardiograms and other ultrasound procedures.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to interpret results and ensure diagnostic accuracy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients during procedures.
- Explain different imaging procedures to patients and be able to answer questions confidently regarding different cardiac procedures and protocols.
- Abide by HIPAA compliant patient privacy standards of practice.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of different cardiac functions and disease processes pertaining to the imaging performed and other aspects of heart care.
- Maintain current knowledge of the frequent advances, innovations, and developments in the field.
- Keep inventory of supplies and materials used and order supplies when necessary for the department.
- Assist with scheduling and confirming appointments related to diagnostic imaging.
- Be able to work in a team‑based environment free of discrimination or personal biases.
- Be willing to assist with other duties as assigned.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- ARDMS or CCI certification in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiac sonography preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Experience with cardiac sonography
- Background in IV catheterization techniques
This is a new Full‑time position.
