Job Description

The Manufacturing Quality Technician is accountable for protecting our customers by ensuring only compliant materials enter and exit the plant. This role combines comprehensive inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in‑process components, and finished composite decking products with data‑driven analysis to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include auditing quality processes, maintaining documentation and calibrations, and communicating issues to support timely resolution. By identifying process improvement opportunities and collaborating cross‑functionally, the technician helps ensure product reliability, operational efficiency, and customer delight.

Schedule and Compensation
  • 12.5‑hour shift:
    Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday 6:30 am – 7:00 pm
  • Hourly wage: $20.00 – $24.00 (plus $1.00/night differential for 2nd shifts)
  • Wage Range DOE (Determine‑by‑Experience)

    :
    Write clear, simple sentences, complete technical forms, apply basic math concepts like estimation and spatial reasoning.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts in a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
  • Proficiency with using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication skills.
  • At least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong English, reading, and writing skills for career advancement.
  • Previous forklift operation experience.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk around for a 12.5+ hour shift.
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Operate various styles of forklifts.
  • Wear and operate required safety equipment (earplugs, safety glasses).
  • Read printed reports and data displayed on computer screens.
  • Fine motor skills to operate tools (chop saws, staple guns, calipers, and other test equipment).
