Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are MAGNET-certified, dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer blood disorders. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support;

cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care. Our cancer center in Meridian brings our patients medical and radiation oncology specialists, as well as fellowship trained cancer surgeons in areas such as thoracic, hepatobiliary, gynecologic, and urologic oncology.

What

you can expect from this role
  • A dual-role position, splitting time between Chemo Infusion and Triage
  • Full-time (0.9): day shift - no nights or weekends!
  • Schedule:

    4x9’s
  • Rotating holiday schedule: 1 holiday ever 2 years (St. Luke’s observes 6 major holidays a year)
  • Sign-on bonus & relocation assistance eligible for new hires!
  • Certification pay (ex. OCN)
  • Chemo Infusion: provides hands on nursing care for the oncology population by administering high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the chemotherapy infusion center
    • Infusions include chemotherapy/biotherapy, blood products, electrolytes, fluids, etc.
    • Our Meridian chemotherapy infusion center (CIC) location has 15 treatment chairs and 2 injection/CVAD chairs and is open from
  • Triage: excellent critical thinking and assessment skills taking triage calls to evaluate patients of all ages receiving treatment
  • Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families
Minimum qualifications for this role
  • Education:

    Nursing Degree
  • Experience:

    One (1) + years’ RN experience
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute
  • Preferred:
    Oncology experience, OCN certification, and/or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification
