As a Quality Control Manager (QCM), you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of construction projects in accordance with federal regulations, contract requirements, and company standards. Your primary focus will be to develop and implement quality control plans, track and manage ongoing quality issues, identify potential quality trends, manage internal quality inspections, and collaborate with project teams to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.
An ideal candidate will have experience specifically in Mechanical Quality Control.
- Develop and implement project-specific quality control plans in accordance with federal regulations, contract requirements, and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of quality control measures throughout all project phases.
- Review and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify quality requirements and ensure compliance.
- Monitor and document all quality control activities, including testing, inspections, and corrective actions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Facilitate non-conformance and deficiency resolution processes, working closely with stakeholders to address and correct quality issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to manage and lead Quality Control Engineers on multiple project sites.
- Coordinate and plan quality-related meetings including After Action Reviews, Close Calls, and Lessons Learned.
- Regular participation in Pre-Construction and Pre-Installation planning and meetings.
- Provide first-class customer service to all customers, clients, and business partners.
- Provide regular reports on quality control activities, including progress, findings, and recommendations to project teams and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a Quality Control role.
- Familiarity with industry quality control standards and methodologies, such as ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, AWS, AWWA, and AISC.
- Excellent understanding of construction plans, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective and professional communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, and others, whether individually or in a team environment, are vital aspects of the role.
- Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, are necessary for performing work safely and effectively.

- The ability to lift and/or move materials and tools is essential, with a maximum weight limit of 50 lbs. These tasks may vary and are not required to be performed daily.
