Lost Rivers Medical Center is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance & Repair Technician to join our team. No professional maintenance experience is necessary; we will train the right individual on how to inspect buildings, troubleshoot basic mechanical and structural issues and perform routine repairs. You will work alongside other Maintenance & Repair Technicians completing basic repairs of LRMC-owned buildings i.e. plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting.
JobResponsibility
Regularly inspect LRMC owned buildings, equipment and grounds to identify potential issues or areas needing repair
Learn to handle minor structural fixes, such as repairing drywall, fixing doors and assembling equipment. Complete work orders in a timely manner.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment or basic building system failure.
Safely operate a variety of hand-power tools, landscaping equipment and snow removal equipment. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and comply with safety guidelines. All necessary PPE is provided.
Follow oral and written instructions accurately while working independently or as part of a team.
Job RequirementsMust be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Valid driver’s license required to operate LRMC owned trucks.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be willing to complete FEMA 100 & 700 training courses and OSHA 10-Hour General Industry for Healthcare Course. All required trainings will be completed during work hours and paid for by LRMC.
Skills & QualificationsBe comfortable working around and operating electric hand tools and power equipment i.e. lawn mowers, weed trimmers, snow blowers etc.
Ability to stand for long periods climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. comfortably.
Basic understanding of building repairs, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping and snow removal is a plus but not required.
EducationHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Full Benefits After 60-Day Probationary Period
Schedule40 hours per week. Schedule to be determined.
After hours and holiday on call rotation required, after 60-day probation period.
