- Maintains a courteous, cooperative, and professional environment for patrons, co-workers, and general public
- Follows established guidelines for grooming, uniform, and operating policies and procedures outlined in the General Handbook and Department SOPs and maintain those guidelines throughout the shift.
- Maintains cleanliness of the work areas in the department.
- Ensures proper ride operating procedures and guest loading/unloading positions.
- Participates in biweekly CPR and skills check offs with specified team members.
- Participates in weekly in‑service training programs.
- Maintains lifeguard licensure with Ellis and Associates ILTP through provided means.
- Performs job functions within all policies and procedures as noted in the handbooks.
- Ensures proper use of all safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
- Communicates with Operations Supervisor regarding daily operations in the department.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Must be able to pass ILTP swimming prerequisites:
- 200 yard swim, 2 minute tread without use of hands, retrieve 10 pound brick using a feet first service dive from a maximum depth of 10 feet
- Obtain and maintain a minimum licensure as a Special Facilities Lifeguard with Ellis and Associates ILTP.
- Must be able to work inside and outside with constant sitting, standing, walking, vision, hearing, and talking and fine motor skills.
- Must be able to reach forward and above shoulder height, bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull a maximum of 25 pounds and sometimes up to 50 pounds with the aid of other team members.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
- The primary work location will include the outdoors and sometimes office environment. On occasion, the employee will be required to be in the pool participating or assisting with training classes or audits.
- In these environments the employee will be exposed to dirt and dust, extreme temperatures, noise and vibration, and occasional wetness and humidity.
- There is potential for exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens when treating medical emergencies. Personal protective equipment is available and required
