Site Safety & Health Officer

CCI Prime Contractors is hiring a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to oversee safety and occupational health on federal construction sites in Meridian, MS. The position includes paid lodging and per diem for on‑site employees.

• Perform safety and occupational health management, inspections, site safety orientation, activity‑specific training and enforcement.
• Lead safety meetings and pre‑construction conferences, including three‑phase inspection meetings.
• Develop, review, and enforce submittals and Accident Prevention Plans (APP).
• Prepare and maintain safety records, daily reports, OSHA Form 300, and hazard‑specific material safety data sheets.
• Track and resolve safety deficiencies, conduct mishap investigations, and maintain a deficiency tracking system.

• Minimum of 5 years of federal construction experience with NAVFAC, USACE, or Coast Guard.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive construction industry experience in supervising/managing safety programs or conducting hazard analyses.
• OSHA 30‑hour certification.
• Proficiency with EM385‑1, Procore, RMS, Word, Excel, and PDF.
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances as required by task orders.

Ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, communicate verbally, and lift up to 35 lb. Physical demands include bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and prolonged standing or walking in outdoor environments with exposure to extreme heat, cold, wind, and weather. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
