We are seeking an BC/BE Internal Medicine physician for a full-time days hospitalist position at Ochsner Rush -
Meridian, MS
. We have a strong, established group of providers and need another physician to join our team. Our hospital does multidisciplinary rounds per day; has low readmission rates and great average lengths of stay.

Details include
:

  • 215-Bed Hospital with closed 23 bed ICU and a 49 bed LTAC.
  • 4 physicians cover during the day from 6 am to 6 pm; nocturnists cover at night.
  • Census:
    During day approximately 15 patients per physician per shift and approximately 1-3 admissions.
  • Shift times: 6 am to 6 pm
  • 7 on/7off Block Scheduling.
  • Good specialty backup including 3 Intensivists.
  • Duties include admissions, consults, discharges, and inpatient rounds: ICU rounds and procedures required only during nights
  • Procedures not required.
  • Hospitalists run codes.
  • Currently utilizing telemedicine in our Critical Access Hospitals
  • J1 Visa Opportunities
