Job OverviewThis role focuses on utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN will effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes and supporting departmental strategic goals.
Responsibilities- Effectively use the nursing process in delivery of patient care.
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient, family, and interdisciplinary needs.
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Utilize data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and profession improvement.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required:
Registered nurse diploma.
Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred:
Certification in a Clinical Specialty Area.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal & written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Good organizational, time management, and judgment skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
Work requires frequent lifting (10-20 lbs constantly, 25-50 lbs frequently, 50-100 lbs occasionally) and exposure to blood and body fluid. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
