Seeking a Security Controls Technician for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Meridian, MS. This position will require travel throughout the U.S. based on project availability.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k!

Pay is between $28 - $30 per hour (based on experience)

This role involves installing, wiring, and troubleshooting security control systems within correctional facilities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in control panel installation, PLC cabinets, and low-voltage electrical work, along with the ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, and test security electronic systems, control panels, and related equipment
  • Install and wire PLC cabinets, including Siemens and Allen-Bradley panels
  • Perform wire tracing, continuity checks, and multimeter diagnostics
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Run, label, and organize low-voltage and 120V wiring
  • Ensure system functionality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards
  • Travel extensively to job sites throughout Mississippi and surrounding regions
  • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and facility staff to complete installations efficiently and professionally
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience installing PLC cabinets and control panels
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems
  • Proficient in wire tracing, multimeter use, and continuity testing
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage and 120V electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Comfortable with extensive travel and working in secured environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
