Victim Advocate
Family Advocacy Program Office, NAS Meridian, Meridian, MS
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Responsibilities- Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and advocacy to victims of domestic abuse and intimate partner violence
- Assist clients with safety planning, protective orders, and navigating legal/medical systems
- Accompany victims to interviews, court proceedings, and medical exams as requested
- Maintain confidential case files in compliance with DoD and installation policy
- Coordinate with law enforcement, medical staff, and command to ensure victim safety
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ direct experience working with victims of domestic violence
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
- Strong crisis response and interpersonal skills
- Mid-Senior level
