The Surgical Coordinator assists practice managers in the daily operations of the central scheduling unit. Ensures information is obtained regarding the scheduling of physicians on call.

• Manages tasks related to booking hospital procedures.
• Demonstrates a pleasant phone voice and effective communication skills.
• Works effectively in a detailed-oriented environment.
• Performs duties related to patient care within a team-based and integrative health environment.
• Possesses competency in all skills necessary to provide exceptional patient care.
• Performs front office duties: greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, and verifying insurances.
• Has knowledge of insurance issues affecting patient care.
• Secures prior authorizations and approvals for procedures.
• Ensures necessary medical record information is available for procedures, including medical clearance if needed.
• Collaborates with hospital personnel to ensure procedures are booked seamlessly for patients.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of physician office scheduling experience.

USD $22.61 - USD $38.00 per hour.

This range is a good faith estimate; actual pay depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. It does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or benefits.
