Medical Office Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient practice operations.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with patient exams and procedures

* Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other clinical duties

* Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards

* Document patient information accurately in the EMR

* Coordinate patient flow and assist with front-desk tasks as needed

Requirements:

* Completion of a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant Program (required)

* Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT)

* BCLS certification required from American Heart Association (in-person only; virtual not accepted)

* Proficiency in phlebotomy, aseptic technique, and other clinical care tasks
