Overview

School-Based Behavior Technician (RBT / ABA Therapist) – This position supports students with autism and developmental differences in elementary to high school settings, providing ABA therapy and behavioral supports within school-day routines.

Location: Merrick, Long Island, NY | Nassau County

Compensation: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour (dependent on experience and certification level)

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time; follows the full school-day schedule (coverage role available)

Setting: Public and private school environments

We aim to help children with autism and developmental differences succeed academically and socially by delivering high-quality behavioral support directly in the classroom. • Deliver individualized ABA therapy and behavioral support throughout the school day under the direction of a BCBA.
• Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans aligned with each student’s learning goals.
• Record accurate data on behavior and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors to promote student success.
• Maintain documentation in line with school and insurance standards.
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training sessions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (required)
• RBT certification preferred (not required)
• Prior school-based or special education experience (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of ABA experience preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
• Availability for full school-day schedule or flexible coverage hours
• Reliable transportation to assigned school sites
