DescriptionThe primary focus of this position is to promote and cross-sell our financial products and services while serving the needs of our members by efficiently, professionally and accurately processing their transactions with the main objective of being able to establish a long term relationship with them. The MSR needs to be proactive in identifying members’ financial needs in order to assist and offer our products and services to them.
The MSR must maintain corporate professional standard levels while interacting with our members; provide them with a high degree of accurate services in accordance with our credit union policies and procedures; must be willing to work with co-workers in a team spirit environment.
- Promote, explain, and cross-sell financial products and services such as savings, checking accounts, share certificates, IRAs, loans, online banking, bill pay, debit cards, etc., to members and potential members.
- Provide members with accurate services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures; proactively identify financial needs and offer appropriate solutions.
- Maintain professional standards in interactions with members and work collaboratively with coworkers in a team environment.
- Complete and maintain necessary reports and records pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Complete Currency Transaction Reports and report suspicious activity when applicable.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services handled or promoted by MSRs; keep materials up to date on related policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including security procedures and BSA training.
- Project a positive image to members; maintain a business, professional attitude at all times.
- Assist in promoting and cross-selling financial products and services to members; strive to achieve sales and referral goals set yearly by PCCU management.
- Maintain good member relations by providing clear answers to questions or directing members to appropriate departments as needed; be able to explain policies of the credit union when necessary.
- Handle member accounts by processing transactions accurately and efficiently in-person or via drive-up, mail, fax, or email.
- Process cash or check loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, etc., per PCCU guidelines; verify identifications and controls for checks.
- Balance cash drawer daily and maintain audit records; research and resolve discrepancies; report any discrepancies to supervisor.
- Keep work station neat and stocked with forms, supplies, and brochures.
- Assist with general office duties as needed (answering phones, mail, filing, shredding, counting/rolling coins, etc.).
- Use the latest computer software/technology used by the credit union to assist members.
- Perform other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
