Direct Care On Call Worker

Fantastic member in Merrill, WI is seeking to hire a Direct Care On Call Worker. This position will work as needed to assist a member with personal care, support and housekeeping duties. This is a wonderful way to help someone in the community of Merrill! (This is an as‑needed on‑call position and no hours are guaranteed)

Responsibilities/Tasks of this role:

• Assist member with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well‑being of the member.

• Administer medications as prescribed.

• Assist with mobility including heavy lifting/pushing and pulling when necessary throughout the home.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the member by performing housekeeping duties, laundry, and linen changes.

Qualities:
Previous experience in caregiving or home care is highly preferred.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.

• Compassionate nature with strong communication skills to build a trusting rapport/relationship with the member.

Requirements:

• Must be reliable and have dependable transportation to get to and from the job.

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.

• A background check is required before employment can begin.

Schedule:

On call for day and evening shifts as needed.

Wage: $17.00 per hour.
