Maintenance Technician
Wage: $30.00 - $35.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5:30am - 4:00pm

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a motivated maintenance professional with strong preventative maintenance and PLC troubleshooting experience in fast-paced food production environments.

Responsibilities- Maintain manufacturing equipment / machinery to ensure efficient daily operation
- Work closely with operators to better understand machine operation and normal wear and tear
- Provide input on and works to improve maintenance processes and projects that will minimize operational downtime
- Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance program
- Test and adjust equipment to meet performance specifications
- Evaluate needs and usage of replacements parts, spare parts and place orders to procure such materials
- Identify and maintain a work schedule that optimizes machine availability (on/off days) with available labor hours
- Conduct walk-arounds to further understand task requirements
- Assure that safety procedures, including lock-out/ tag out procedures, are available to employees and contractors
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Associate's Degree, Certificate or Apprenticeship, and/or equivalent experience
- Electrical and mechanical repair on production and utility equipment
- At least three years in dairy/food production or similar manufacturing environment
- Strong background in mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair and preventive maintenance
- Utilities maintenance such as plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge; or proficient knowledge working with boilers, refrigeration is strongly preferred
- Willing to obtain fresh water/wastewater certification(s)
- Motivated and capable of working independently
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
