Currently, our Windows division on Ohio Street in Merrill, Wisconsin, a growing, major window and door manufacturer with manufacturing facilities located in Alabama, California, and Wisconsin, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician.

About The Position

* Run Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility

* Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

* Assist with Motion Control, PLC, MMI, and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and repair

* Install electrical components such as conduit, wiring, motor controls, starters, VFD, and soft starts

* Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from sock or fabricate replacement parts as needed

* Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices

* Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality

* Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation

* Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, and forklift

* Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed

* Rig, lift, and move heavy equipment

* Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area

* Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times

Qualifications

* 2 years' recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education

* Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs

* Experience using motor control circuits, 480 volt 3-phase AC/DC motors, starters, electrical, and hydraulic systems

* Working knowledge of pneumatics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings

* Proven experience using forklift, man lift, and most rigging equipment

* Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects

* Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus
