The Maintenance Technician I is required to perform equipment maintenance on machines with Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems. Some fabrication and welding are also required.

• Under the direction of an Lead/Supervisor perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems and/or routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment and machinery at the site.
• Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools, including hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, measuring devices, etc.
• Work with an attitude toward continuous improvement with a team approach to problem solving and decision making.
• Prioritize and assign jobs, monitor variances.
• Ensure that appropriate records, instructions and prints are maintained.
• Perform duties in a safe manner at all times.
• Follow policies and procedures including manufacturer’s instructions and related regulations (EHS, Haz Com, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety, etc.).
• Perform machine maintenance.
• Perform plant and operations maintenance.
• Follow operating procedures and/or work instructions. Be responsible for the quality of own work.
• Follow schedules, procedures and 6S housekeeping practices.
• Be goal‑oriented toward manufacturing cost and work‑center efficiency.
• Offer ideas, suggestions and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the Maintenance Department.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring devices.
• Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation (advanced skills are a plus).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Technical certification.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands/arms; lift and/or lower; push and/or pull; and use hands to finger, handle, feel and/or finely manipulate objects. The employee must frequently lift/move and/or push/pull up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift/move and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Use of vision correction is acceptable, if necessary; however, any vision correction apparatus must meet all safety guidelines for the area of activity.
