Saw Operator

Job Description

Prime Conveyor Inc. is an industry leading manufacturer of conveyor systems and equipment located in Merrillville, IN. We are seeking a Motivated and Experienced Saw Operator looking to start or further their experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualified candidates must be highly organized, able to work independently, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have:

• Their own hand tools
• Steel toe boots
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Operate a saw
• MUST be able to accurately read and use a tape measure
• MUST be able to drive a forklift

• Operating production machinery, using saw and hand tools etc.
• Hot Roll and Cold Roll experience preferred
• Know different materials i.e. 14ga, 7ga, etc.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions
• Complete paperwork including weekly timesheets and material order sheets.
• Work from prints to manufacture parts and build equipment.

Experience working manufacturing environment is preferred, however we will train motivated candidates.

• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings in the English Language.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Have a GSD (get stuff done) attitude

6:00am - 4:30pm Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 3:30pm Friday based on workload. Flexibility is essential. Availability to work overtime and/or move between shifts for training and/or coverage purposes to support production as needed.
