Saw Operator

Overview

Prime Conveyor Inc. is an industry leading manufacturer of conveyor systems and equipment located in Merrillville, IN. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Saw Operator looking to start or further their experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Operate production machinery, using saws and hand tools, etc.
• Work from prints to manufacture parts and build equipment.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Complete paperwork including weekly timesheets and material order sheets.

• Operate a saw.
• Know different materials such as 14ga, 7ga, etc.
• Hot Roll and Cold Roll experience preferred.
• Operate a forklift.
• Accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Use hand tools.
• Wear steel‑toe boots.
• Lift 40 lbs.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred, however we will train motivated candidates.

• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• English language proficiency.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Have a GSD (get stuff done) attitude.

6:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 3:30pm Friday based on workload. Flexibility is essential. Availability to work overtime and/or move between shifts for training and/or coverage purposes to support production as needed.
