This role is to help the Diocese of Gary grow into the kind of Church we are called to be missionary disciples, prayerful, and centered on an encounter with Jesus Christ. The Ministry Team Member for Sacred Music works closely with parish music and leaders, the Office of Worship, and the Missionary Discipleship team to support, encourage, and build up those who serve our parishes.
The heart of this position is relationship and formation walking with parish leaders, helping them grow in confidence, skill, and vision so that sacred music serves the mission of the Church. This role focuses on developing leaders, strengthening parish ministries, and ensuring that worship at both the parish and diocesan level is beautiful, reverent, and deeply rooted in the Catholic faith.
In doing so, it helps move our parishes from maintenance to mission by allowing sacred music to open hearts to Christ.
