• Assist in daily living by delivering meals, ambulating, and providing fresh water between meals
• Aide patients with personal hygiene: baths/showers, toilet transfer, or positioning bed pans
• Maintain patient stability by checking vitals, weight, testing urine, and recording intake and output
• Respond to call lights, patients’ requests, and aid with transportation as needed
• Report observations and changes in patient condition to the nursing supervisor

• Strong interpersonal skills, especially when delivering sensitive information to patients and families
• Ability to think critically under pressure
• Current, valid CNA certification
• Willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
• Ability to make independent decisions related to job duties
• Tactful handling of personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, vendors, and the public
• Knowledge of medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long‑term care

• 8 or 12‑hour shifts
