Senior Construction Inspector (Paving) role at WSP in the U.S.

- Interface with contractors and attend meetings.
- Mentor or supervise other inspectors, on behalf of the resident engineer or project manager.
- Complete daily reports, measure and calculate unit price quantities.
- Coordinate independent material sampling and testing.
- Monitor maintenance of traffic.
- Take and compile photographs for tracking daily progress.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 7 years applicable experience
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, design plans and specifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Associate of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or related field
- Proficiency with MS Word Suite
- NETTCP HMA certifications, or ability to attain within 3 months of hiring
- Hands-on experience with construction management software such as Site or Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, IPD or similar systems; knowledge of Bluebeam
- Any combination of college education, professional licenses, certifications and experience will be considered
