American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN for the Greater Nashua area, requiring 2+ years of skilled homecare experience and a NH or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active RN license (NH or compact) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of skilled home health nursing experience required
- Experience with wound care, IV management, and ostomy care preferred
- Experience with peripheral IVs, central lines, and ports preferred
- Phlebotomy skills preferred
- Candidate must have own transportation
- Pending license accepted with proof of application at time of offer
- References required, with one pending reference accepted to begin consideration
- Home health setting serving the Greater Nashua, NH area
- Adult and geriatric patient population with varying diagnoses and acuity levels
- High volume of skilled wound care, IV management, ostomy care and education, and chronic disease management
- Uses OASIS documentation system
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with self-scheduling flexibility
- Occasional weekends required as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Expected caseload of 6 patients per day after first week
- Travel within the Nashua territory required; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
- Provide skilled home health nursing visits including wound care, IV management, ostomy care, and patient education
- Three-day orientation provided with expectation of reaching full productivity of 6 patients daily after the first week
- One week of pre-approved time off included, with additional requests considered case-by-case
- First-time travelers with relevant homecare experience will be considered
- Former employees of the health system are not eligible for this assignment, regardless of time since separation
- Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
- Float to other units may be required based on need
- Drug screening must be completed within 14 days of the start date
