Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Join Benchmark Human Services to provide support and assistance to individuals served with developmental disabilities, helping them pursue their personal goals and participate in community life.

Locations: Manchester, Concord, Weare, Bedford, Raymond, Bow, and Merrimack, NH.

Job Type: Full‑time and Part‑time positions with flexible scheduling, including weekend shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and positive implementation of individuals’ plans.
  • Implement Behavior Support Plans, Replacement Behavior Trials, and reinforce plans consistently across all environments.
  • Provide positive behavioral supports and reinforcement for socially appropriate behavior.
  • Respond to emergency situations using trained Mandt strategies.
  • Utilize relational and technical Mandt methods to maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • Report restraints or significant behaviors promptly to on‑call staff.
  • Assess for injuries post‑behavior or restraint and notify on‑call immediately.
  • Recommend plan changes based on best practices and individuals’ needs.
  • Document daily behavior data accurately and objectively.
  • Administer medications and follow physicians’ orders.
  • Monitor individuals’ well‑being and attend health appointments as directed.
  • Comply with all health and safety standards.
  • Communicate health issues and concerns to nurses and supervisors.
  • Provide updates on individuals’ home, day program, or work‑related needs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Access to a vehicle in good operating order with proof of auto insurance.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
