Software Cloud Engineer

Westlake, TX / Merrimack, NH - Hybrid (2 alternate weeks onsite in a month)

2nd - 60-minute panel. This round will have a coding exercise.

This domain is the Tech Foundation group. They support all the domains in AM from a tech standpoint. Everyone builds their products off what this team makes. The infrastructure is built and maintained in the Cloud.

Our Cloud Engineering team collaborates with our architects to design and build our foundational cloud components and frameworks. Through innovation and engineering excellence, we forge the path to harness the power of the cloud for all of Asset Management’s engineers.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts/ecosystem and deploying applications into EKS.
• Demonstrated experience with building Flask/FastAPI based REST APIs and applying design patterns to solutions.
• Proficient in object-oriented Python
• Experience managing systems using infrastructure as code tools (Cloud Formation, Open Tofu, ARM, Ansible …).
• Solid understanding/experience of networking, virtualization, storage, containers, serverless architecture/framework, cloud IAM controls and policies.
• AI engineering with hands‑on experience building and deploying AI‑powered applications.
• Dev Assist tools experience, such as Copilot

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or Kubernetes Application Developer.

• Hands‑on experience building and deploying applications using a variety of Amazon Web Services (primarily Cloud Formation, compute, EBS volumes and container).
• Proficient in object‑oriented Python.
• Ability to apply design patterns and object‑orientation to solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with containers and container orchestration.
• Experience managing systems using infrastructure as code tools (Cloud Formation, Ansible, Terraform, ARM, etc).
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts/ecosystem and deploying applications into EKS.
• Understanding of versioning and release practices (SCM), code collaboration practices (Git)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.

• Experience in defining and implementing a comprehensive cloud reliability and observability strategy, ensuring that Client's cloud systems are always available when our customers need them.
• Strong understanding of engineering excellence principles, defining engineering standards and proven experience of increasing engineering maturity.

Experience with deploying and managing LLM models, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), full stack AI engineering with hands‑on experience building and deploying AI‑powered applications.
