Facilities Engineering Design Mechanical Engineer I
Blue Origin is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer I to support the design of new infrastructure and buildings under the guidance of a licensed engineer. Candidates should have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and aim to obtain a Professional Engineering license.

Key Responsibilities- Support the design of new infrastructure and buildings under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
- Assist in the production of design and construction documents, including mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Conduct research and provide support for mechanical design solutions and concepts (e.g., HVAC, Chilled Water, Compressed Air).
- Prepare and review mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Support the coordination of project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Stay informed of industry trends, technologies, and advancements to contribute to project innovation.
- Prepare for and pursue a Professional Engineering license after gaining the required experience.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on best practices and design principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced engineering technologies.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and practices.
- Previous internship or work experience in a mechanical engineering firm.

- Paid Time Off:
