We are seeking a Weld Production Integrator Associate Engineer at KSC, FL.
Role/ResponsibilitiesCandidate will be part of the Production Operations team, supporting the Orion Program at the Kennedy Space Center. Responsibilities include reviewing engineering designs for producibility work instructions for Weld assembly and flight hardware installations on the Orion Crew Module. Applicant will also interface with Senior Weld Engineers and Weld Integrated Product Team, including technicians and quality, to ensure that producibility issues are addressed and solutions are developed.
Individual must be comfortable in a production environment, supporting process reviews and shop floor execution.
- Bachelor's degree from a related discipline (Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering) and 0-2 years of experience or combined equivalent experience/combined education
- Knowledge of production manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Experience with Engineering Change Management
- Experience with structural installations.
- Experienced in the review of engineering drawings and as a floor liaison.
- Experience and understanding of configuration management practices and databases such as Windchill, EPDM, or similar.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Creo Parametric, Creo View, EdgeCAM, Delmia
- Good verbal and written communication including technical writing. Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical procedures and reports. Ability to write reports and keep accurate documentation.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office software suite.
- Position is permanently located at KSC, FL. Ability to travel as necessary.
- Expected to adjust the schedule accordingly to support off-shifts and weekend Weld activities as needed.
