This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It supports Manufacturing and Supply Chain across all Blue Origin facilities and focuses on the development and operations of New Glenn, a single‑configuration, heavy‑lift orbital launch vehicle.

B shift:
Monday – Friday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Translate engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions.
  • Identify tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
  • Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
  • Generate, manage, and close non‑conformance reports (NCR).
  • Support introduction of new products by creating manufacturing plan artifacts—including build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering capacity, including internships.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift Monday – Friday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm.
  • Prior internship experience in aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing fundamentals, including GD&T.
  • Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience with building flight hardware.
  • Experience with design, development, or production of launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellites.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (Creo or CATIA V5).
  • Customer focus and proven track record of working cooperatively with cross‑functional teams across large geographic distances.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
