Blue Origin is committed to building a future of space that benefits Earth. We are developing New Glenn, a reusable, human‑capable heavy‑lift launch vehicle that will transport crew and cargo to low‑Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar space, and beyond. This position supports the New Glenn Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program and focuses on developing and integrating mission‑unique hardware.
Responsibilities- Lead development projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment with program timelines and objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for mission‑unique hardware stakeholders, providing regular updates, status reports, and clear communication across multiple teams.
- Track and report project performance using relevant tools and metrics, adapting strategies to maintain progress and alignment with overall goals.
- Identify potential risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring all phases and variations are accurately recorded and communicated to stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by recommending and implementing enhancements to project processes, tools, and best practices.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed throughout the project.
- Interface with customers during leading‑edge and mission integration phases to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Develop and maintain a resource‑loaded mission Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and coordinate progress with customers.
- B.S. in Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years managing complex, multidisciplinary, fast‑paced aerospace projects.
- 5+ years of industry experience in launch system or satellite operations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
- Occasional travel required.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, team‑building, and people‑management skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of launch vehicle development and payload integration.
- Proven expertise in managing large‑scale space programs.
- Strong engineering background in mechanical/structural, fluids, and/or tanks.
- Experience working with government customers.
