Embedded Software Engineer III - New Glenn Avionics
At Blue Origin, develop advanced flight software for New Glenn, a heavy‑lift launch vehicle. Working in the New Glenn Avionics Software organization, you will design, implement, integrate and test safety‑critical real‑time embedded software that enables New Glenn to carry people and payloads routinely to Earth orbit and beyond. You will work on vehicle avionics and ground systems and be responsible for requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing of various software components and tools critical for the success of New Glenn’s mission.

Develop flight software and tools for various spaceflight systems. Share in the team’s impact on all aspects of safety‑critical real‑time embedded software development. Work on vehicle avionics and ground systems and be responsible for requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing of various software components and tools critical for the success of New Glenn’s mission.
Minimum Qualifications- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related subject area.
- 5+ years of experience writing software in C, C++, and Python.
- 2+ years of experience in embedded software, kernel development, BSPs or other systems software components.
- Solid understanding of operating systems and network protocols fundamentals.
- M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field.
- Experience with real‑time operating systems.
- Experience with safety‑critical software development in aerospace, automotive or other industries.
- Experience developing software that interfaces directly with hardware components and programmable logic.

- Paid Time Off:

Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training. - Required for certain Job Profiles:
