This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Blue Origin seeks highly talented technicians to launch the New Glenn rocket at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. We are looking for teammates to help refurbish flown rockets, stack rockets and payloads, maintain and operate launch infrastructure, and ultimately participate in launching one of the largest rockets in the world. Successful candidates will bring relevant skills, experiences and certifications from aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, and related fields.

We are looking for people who are fast and eager learners, extremely hard workers, problem solvers, and instinctive team players.

This is a pooling requisition for current and anticipated openings across multiple Launch Ops teams, shifts, and levels. Candidates will be matched to the right roles as needs are identified.

Position Specific Details
  • Shifts:

    B | Mon-Fri (6pm-4am), C | Fri-Sun (6am-6pm), D | Fri-Sun (6pm-6am)

Key Responsibilities
  • Refurbish rocket boosters, including removing and installing engines, avionics, hydraulics, actuators, valves, body panels and other aerospace components.
  • Assembling rockets by stacking boosters, upper stages, and payloads.
  • Operating sophisticated tooling.
  • Moving fixtures and tooling into position while protecting launch vehicles.
  • Moving rockets to the launch pad, and integrating them with launch systems.
  • Fabricate tooling, harnesses, and other equipment as needed.
  • Proposing and implementing continuous improvements to all our operations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Relevant mechanical and/or electrical experience working on aerospace, automotive, or oil and gas equipment, or equivalent: (0–3 years Level I Technician, 3+ years Level II Technician, 5+ years Level III Technician, 8+ years Level IV Technician).
  • Demonstrated ability to use standard hand tools and electrical tools in a professional setting.
  • Proficient in using computers to interact with software platforms, including work documentation applications (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and machinery Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs); able to provide examples of past documentation and HMI usage.
  • Proven reliability, as evidenced by supervisor or peer feedback, including willingness and ability to work scheduled overtime as required by operational needs.
  • Documented ability to follow complex work instructions, accurately complete work documentation, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted, work at heights up to 20 feet, and safely climb ladders and stairs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communication, including team collaboration, as evidenced by prior performance reviews or interview assessment.
  • Able to accurately interpret engineering models, mechanical drawings, technical specifications, written instructions, and test procedures.
  • Demonstrated history of earning trust, maintaining positive relationships, and fostering inclusive workplace culture.
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Space Force Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) access credentials (background check required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • A&P license, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field.
  • Certification in and/or Knowledge of IPC standards for assembly and inspection.
  • J-STD soldering certification, 610 PCB Assembly, and 7711/7721 Rework.
